about Colombia

Colombia is one of the world’s largest producers of coffee and is unique in its ability to harvest coffee all year long. The Colombian coffee offered by The Roaster® comes from the southern Huila region of Colombia along the Andes Mountains, where beans are grown at altitudes of 5,000 feet and higher. Higher altitudes are what make this blend unique, because higher altitudes yield a denser coffee bean, for it takes longer for the fruit to mature. Through gentle air roasting, we are able to unlock the myriad of delicate flavors in this careful blend of varietals, while helping to create a wonderfully smooth and full body.

 

TASTING NOTES

Smooth, full body and is noted for its winey fruit acidity and sugary sweet caramel finish.
