The small island of Java was the first Indonesian island to produce coffee, and is now one of the most famous and well known of all coffee producers. Our Java Estate coffee is grown on Jampit, one of the island’s five largest estates.
This coffee has a very different profile from other Indonesian coffees in that it’s very clean, has a much lighter body, is brighter and more acidic, and yields more fruit notes and less of the earthy notes Indonesian coffee is generally known for.
TASTING NOTES
A sweet and light acidity complements ripe cherry and Georgia peach notes, rounded out in the finish by bittersweet cocoa and mustard seed undertones. The overarching smooth and nutty body breaks into a dried apricot finish that is truly unique.
