As consumers become more health-savvy and environmentally conscious, the demand for decaffeinated coffee goes higher.

Some consumers cannot tolerate the side effects of caffeine, yet still want to enjoy the taste of coffee and the experience that comes with it, and that’s where decaffeinated coffee comes in!

Today, methylene chloride and ethyl acetate are the solvents used to decaffeinate approximately 65% of the world’s coffee. We at The Roaster don’t like the chemically-fueled way of decaffeination, and that is why we use the “Swiss Water” Process: an environmentally friendly and chemical-free process that preserves great taste, but removes 99.9% of caffeine!
